The deadline is approaching and you want to make sure you invest your little time left in the best possible way to maximize the chances of getting the paper accepted?
My humble advice is the following:
- Find one or more researchers you trust who are in a similar situation
- Agree to spend X hours reading and giving feedback on their papers on exchange of them doing the same with yours
- Integrate their feedback on your work
I strongly believe that the best way to advance once you’ve already spent a lot of time working on your paper is to ask somebody else to take a look at it. You’ll be amazed of how valuable that feedback will be.
Of course, this only works if the feedback is honest and as harsh as needed. The idea is to get a “reject” now instead of sending the paper and getting the reject later!
